CONFUSED WHAT TO WEAR TO A GARDEN PARTY THIS SUMMER?

Summer is here, the restrictions are being lifted and small gatherings are now allowed.

The thing I most look forward to during summers is all the outdoor events that happen, be it a garden party/cocktail with friends, BBQ with family, picnics during warm summer afternoons! THE DREAM :)

In this blog post I have curated few outfits that you can try this summer for any outdoor parties. No doubt, no two people have same dressing style or fashion lookout, hence, I have tried to include as many types of outfits, few classics with a hint of 2020 trends. Have a read, you might find something you relate to!

GO MONOCHROME

Monochrome instantly makes your outfits looks more expensive and seems like you have put in a bit of effort in curating your outfit. If colour is your vibe then go for it, choose vibrant colours. But, if you are someone who lean towards more subtle neutral colours then for all white or all black outfit. Its subtle but still makes a statement.

CRISP ALL BLACK OUTFIT

I find having an all black outfit in summer is quite chic. It’s the classic. I am throwing a trend your way. I recently got this black Bermuda shorts from H&M, these are linen mix blend, paired them up with black muscle t-shirt(also a trend this summer), with some chunky sandals, gold layered necklaces. My personal favourite and has quickly become my uniform.

CREAMY DREAM

100 points to this combination. The example I have here is a cotton Zara trousers with cream crochet tank top from Mango. This tank is not too fitted but little bit structured to balance the baggy trousers. For accessories you can add chunky sandals or tan mules with basket bag. Adding textures to your outfit gives a more layered look.

OVERSIZED DRESS/ ANTI FIT DRESSES

These are truly God sent. I am not kidding you guys. One, they are extremely comfortable especially for summer months. And two, they are a good disguise to cover a baby bump or a food bump, whichever you are trying to conceal ;)

And if you want to give a little shape then throw in a belt and cinch that waist.

CROP THAT TOP !

Till the longest time I wasn’t comfortable wearing crop tops, until recently when I found the ultimate way to style crop tops. I usually got for ripped material because they hug the body nicely and pair them up with high waist bottoms. For instance, here I have styled black crop top with high waist cotton trousers with a denim jacket, cuz you know it might get chilly!

SKIRTS, SKIRT, SKIRTS

Summer and skirts go hand in hand. I mean how can you not mention skirt for summer garden party. It’s mandatory. For this look, I went quite feminine with the slit skirt design but kind of balanced the whole look with crisp white button shirt. Wear a pretty bralette inside and open those top 3 buttons for that oomph. Messy low bun and some gold jewellery, you are ready for girls cocktail night-home version ;)
